What you might be wondering.
I've never been to therapy before — what happens in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know you and understanding what brought you here. There's no 'right' thing to say — it's simply a beginning.
How does online therapy work?
You join from a computer or phone through a secure video platform, from a private and comfortable space.
How long does therapy take?
This varies by person. Some clients work together for a few months, others longer. We check in on this together, regularly.
What does it cost?
Current fees are listed on the Working Together page.
Do you take insurance?
I don't currently bill insurance directly, but I can provide a receipt (superbill) you may be able to submit to your insurer.
What if my partner doesn't want to come?
That's quite common. We can begin individually and revisit the question over time.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients?
Yes. I'm committed to creating a space where everyone is met as they are.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
That's exactly what the free consult call is for — you can hear my voice and ask what you need to ask.
What's your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice; shorter notice may be subject to a fee.
Do you offer sessions in Turkish?
Yes, I offer sessions in Turkish for Turkish-speaking clients.
What's the difference between an LMFT and an LMFTA?
An LMFT is a fully licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. An LMFT Associate (LMFTA) has completed their graduate training and is completing supervised clinical hours toward full licensure. I'm an LMFT Associate in Texas, practicing under the supervision of Glen Hilton, LMFT-S.
